...which is an almost unquenchable passion. To me, movies offer a peek at a world that's different and far more fascinating than the one in which we live. It's a world where possibilities are endless, where anyone can do anything, and where dreams can come true. How many times have I sat transfixed in front of a silver screen, or a DVD movie, I cannot even be bothered to count.
Enter Blockbuster. Blockbuster, Inc. is one of America's leading providers of in-home rental, retail movie, and game entertainment. It was once a single video rental store, but it grew so big: today, the company is operating 9,000 franchised stores throughout the United States and in twenty-three other countries. Of course, the company's growth has also been reflected by their presence on the Internet.
Blockbuster's websites have been more than instrumental in rekindling my love for movies. Sure, my trips to the cinema are becoming less frequent. And yes, I have fewer memberships than ever in video rental stores here in my city. But that doesn't mean I have stopped watching - because I haven't. It's only that I am spending more effort in acquiring new titles online than in guzzling gas on trips to the movie theater.
Armed with the store's coupon codes, also retrieved online, I visit Blockbuster on the Internet so I can rent DVDs online and have them delivered directly to my door. There are more than 80,000 titles to choose from a wide variety of genres: classics, hot new releases, action, romantic comedies, documentary, music, horror, sci-fi, period films, and others. There are so many choices which are presented at an affordable rate; really, it doesn't cost much to rent movies because I needed only to pay Blockbuster a low monthly membership free. There are also other movie online deals that come without charge: free shipping, free trials, a certain number of free in-store rentals each month, even free video games (not that I care much for these). With the emergence of online rental, all I have to do is point, click, sit back, and enjoy the show.
